Project description
The scope of this CDOT-led project includes streetscape improvements on 79th Street, Fielding Avenue to Paulina Avenue and Halsted, 78th Street to 80th Street. The project will provide safe, walkable, and attractive streets that will foster community and economic growth.  This effort will support the City’s initiative to re-activate neighborhood cores that have historically served as focal points for pedestrian activity, shopping, services, transportation, public spaces and quality-of-life amenities for local residents.

The project will be constructed in 2 sections.  The first section is 79th Street, Sangamon Avenue to Fielding Avenue, and Halsted Street, 78th Street to 80th Street. The second section is 79th Street, Paulina Street to Sangamon Street.
