Pershing Road Improvement: Ashland to Wentworth

Project Description

The Chicago Department of Transportation is working with The Illinois Department of Transportation to develop preliminary plans for corridor safety improvements along Pershing Road from Ashland Avenue To Wentworth Avenue. These improvements will incorporate: separated bike lanes, ADA ramps, updated pavement markings and road diet for improved vehicular and pedestrian safety, traffic signal modernizations, LED energy efficient lighting upgrades, pedestrian refuge island and the replacement of the structurally deficient bridge over Racine Avenue  and Norfolk Southern Railroad Spurs.

A Public Meeting Webinar led by City staff and consultants was held online on September 15, 2020.
