Project description

Roseland is one of 12 key commercial corridors in the 10 communities – the “front doors” to the neighborhoods – INVEST South/West collectively supports infrastructure development as a part of the initial phase of Mayor Lightfoot’s INVEST South/West commercial corridor improvement strategy.  Based on feedback received at the INVEST South/West kick-off meeting, the priority corridors include South Michigan Avenue and 111th Streets.

The scope of this CDOT led project includes streetscape improvements on 110th Street to 116th Street and 111th Street, Stewart Avenue to MLK. The project will provide safe, walkable, and attractive streets that will foster community and economic growth.  This effort will support the INVEST South/West initiative to re-activate neighborhood cores that have historically served as focal points for pedestrian activity, shopping, services, transportation, public spaces and quality-of life amenities for local residents.
