Chicago Ave Safety Improvements – Latrobe Ave to Kedzie Ave

The Chicago Department of Transportation is conducting an engineering study on Chicago Avenue between Latrobe Avenue and Kedzie Avenue to identify and construct improvements to reduce the high rate of crashes along this corridor.  The goals of the project are:

  1. Create a safer Chicago Avenue for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit users
  2. Improve mobility along Chicago Avenue
  3. Reduce vehicular speeds on Chicago Avenue
  4. Support economic development on the corridor
